The Administration Manager enables you to configure multiple provisioning policies for use by IT administrators, business managers, and other authorized end users. Use the Administration Manager to:
- Define workflows that automate your provisioning policies.
- Connect to existing authoritative identity stores (e.g. directories, databases, HR systems).
- Select fields (e.g. job title, department, region, etc.) that define workflow access restrictions and communities of users that can be managed.
- Select which account management actions (create, enable, disable, delete, add, change, and password reset) are available in each workflow.
- Configure the account attributes that will be exposed in each workflow.
- Configure how initial profiles are created for new users.
- Implement your business rules for account ID generation for each target platform.
- Define the auditing information that will be captured in your help desk system or logging database.
- Customize e-mail notifications to provisioning requestors, approvers, and observers.
- Configure connectors for each target platform.
- Customize the instructions and help text for each provisioning workflow.
Administration Manager Views
The Administration Manager supports two views that allow you to create and configure workflows:- Tree View — This view supports a tree-node interface that allows you to select any workflow configuration form in any order. This interface is designed for administrators who are familiar with the steps required to configure a workflow.
- Flowchart View — This view supports a business process model that guides you through the workflow configuration process in a sequential order. This interface provides a visual representation of the steps required to configure a workflow and shows you the status of these steps as you complete them.
